A good first date for me would be a place with good mood music. A restaurant with great wine and a man with good qualities, great conversation, all while making me laugh.

Meet for dinner some place somewhat intimate (i.e. a restaurant), so we can talk and get to know one another. Then a leisurely stroll along beach ( two fold get to spend more time getting to know one another and burn a few of the dinner calories, lol).

In order for a first date to make a lasting and positive first impression, should definitely include an environment suitable for one on one conversation in an intimate, yet public setting (nice restaurant). Following fine dining, a fun adventure or live show (live theatre or dancing to a live band). A relaxing yet fun evening that is conducive to communication, fun, and a minimal level of intimacy is my preference for finding out if the first date will leave you wanting more.
